White Party Vs White Elephant Party

What is an All White party?

An All White Party (white-out party) is just what it sounds like: a party where all the guests (and decoration) are dressed head-to-toe in white . They’re famous around Labor Day because of the fashion rule of “Never wear white after Labor Day”. Dressing up in all white for the “last time” is a fun and common party theme; it creates beautiful atmosphere guests love, and the dress code is simple for all to follow. Here are some ideas for the white party dresses which suit more. Go and check it out LOSTnLOVEco White Party Outfits

How to throw a white party?

  1. Start with those white invitations. Purchase easy white invitations from a party shop. Stick to silver and white, and fill each card with a shimmering silver marker. Make sure that the dress code is clearly stated in the invites, We wouldn’t want anyone on the White Party to turn up in black, right?
  1. Celebrate it outdoors. Have your white party bright, and let the sunshine on your guests. Use white flowers such as roses, carnations, camellias, and paperwhites as outdoor decorations to enjoy for your party-goers, and set up tables on a patio or deck. It’s the hot and beautiful setting outside, finally. You can check this link if you want to have an idea of this

  1. Hold white on your menu. Keep things simple. Try a white-chocolate fountain with various fruits (strawberries and bananas — yum!) and tiny cookies to dip. White cheeses and crackers, as well as sandwiches with small fingers, will round out your menu. Render Martinis White Chocolate, or White Girls, for drinks. Keep white cranberry juice and water at the case, too. When you want to pull a Kyle, of course, get Fatburger to work for you.
  1. Decorate Tables in white. Cover all the tables with a white table cloth, as white umbrellas for your guests to sit under when treating themselves with the all-white menu. Sprinkle white petals on the tables, and for good measure, throw a little silver glitter (and certainly some glitz needed), then add white candles to light up the night as it gets darker.

  1. Playing the playlist! Would you like to display a significant dedication to your White theme? To add to the music mix of your band, choose songs that have a “light” touch to them. White Album by the Beatles, maybe? Or the White Stripes might be? Have fun arranging a playlist in absolute white.

5. Have a contest for the best white dress. You can make your own rules, but you can create categories to keep them enjoyable and competitive. Consider awards for a pair making the best use of white, the chicest feel, the wackiest white set, and so on. Then, in each group, let your guests vote and give the winners a prize: white flowers, white wine, or other gifts on the theme. Check this link to have a look at the elegance of white color

6.White elephant exchange gifts. This classic game is a must for your white party to laugh. Let everyone carry a wild, unwanted, stupid item to an exchange of white elephant gifts. No one likes what they get, but the strange deals are perfect for a dose of party-goers giggles.

Now we discuss it briefly about the white elephant party. Is it a game or something else?

What Is the White Elephant party?

It is a party in which every guest brings an amusing, needed, GAG or cute gift with them. The concept is to walk away with a random gift for everybody, but they will have to fight for it first. Of course not in the Mediterranean. The gift exchange cycle is fun, enthusiastic, and full of excitement. Exchanging presents bring much-needed humor and fun to the Christmas party. Why is it called a White elephant?

A white elephant was rare, costly to care for, and of no use other than being a financial drain on the person who received it as a present.

Purpose of the white elephant party

The key argument behind the white elephant gift exchange is that giving presents to a large number of people is not feasible. White elephant solves the issue by making each person bring only one gift and walk away with just one while adding a fun game to play and enjoy the evening at the same time.

White Elephant Rules

Some rules for playing this white elephant game:

  1. Every player has to bring one White Elephant Gift to the game. Everyone brings a present. That player must have one gift to take home and every guest chips in the gift pool by bringing one today to the game. There are several variants of rules that specify how much you can spend or what types of white elephant gifts are appropriate, but if there are no such guidelines, buying something funny that costs less than $20 or $25 are free. There is also the option of getting rid of unwanted presents or things around the property. More later on.
  2. Gifts Should be wrapped Much of the fun of the gift exchange party comes from trying to guess which gift is better before you pick one to open. There are many ways in which people love to trick each other everywhere during this cycle to form the gift as something they don’t want to make presents look heavy by putting the teddy bear in the package. Gifts have to be packaged well for all this to work, sometimes deceivably designed to generate more suspense and disappointment resulting in laughter.
  3. Players Must Open And Steal Gifts orderly.  There must be some structure to the entire process. Names or numbers are drawn as an ordinary white elephant law, to decide who goes first and who follows next. This way, players can organize around the pile of gifts and begin opening and swapping gifts. Any player can open an unopened present when it’s their turn, or steal a gift from someone who has already begun one. This cycle continues until all presents are opened, or until there is a certain amount of gift exchanging. Underneath there are variants of the white elephant rules where you can see some different ways to end the game.
  4. No Immediate Re-Theft.  It’s possible that out of all the opened presents, there will be those that someone wants to steal, so it’s necessary to make sure that if a gift is stolen from one person. Then the other person can’t take it back immediately, because the theft between two people will never stop.
  5. Every Player Walks Home With Final Gift. They Are Keeping After all the presents have been opened and all the stealing is done, the gift everyone ends up receiving is now theirs, and they get to take it home with them. Often people want to give each other something to exchange when the game is over, and that is ok but optional.

Variations and Innovations in White Elephant Party:

The tired elephant is one of the variants where if the gift is stolen several times, let’s say five times; then, this gift is out of the game, and so is the last person to keep it. Using this law, it may encourage others to use it as a trick to steal a gift they like the most.

“Timeout” is a traditional means of exchanging white elephants in large groups. Once all the gifts are opened, the guests are not permitted to steal from each other, and then the timer is set to count down for the specified amount of minutes where constant stealing of gifts takes place. When the time has expired, the game is over.

What type of exchanging gifts are there?

One of the fun rule innovations for the exchange of gifts is to decide the type of presents to be brought to the party. A white elephant theme could be anything from regifted toys, books, unwanted gifts, GAG gifts, or even confident DIY projects.

Are there any limits to the game?

White elephant games can go on and on, so it’s better to have some limits— for example, a gift can only be “stolen” three times, or a person can only have a maximum of three times anything stolen from them. Some modifications also offer for the person who drew the number “one” to be the final person to select a present after all others are done. The rules and restrictions on white elephant gift exchange are up to you and party attendees— make sure to identify them before the game begins.
